CIT-282 is the advanced continuation of CIT-281 and the capstone of the Atlantis University CCNA 200-301 v1.1 certification path. Where CIT-281 established network fundamentals, subnetting, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, single-area OSPFv2, and the CRAFT AI Prompt Engineering framework, CIT-282 advances students into the service, security, and automation domains that define a production enterprise network. The course is structured as eight progressive weeks of hands-on learning anchored in Cisco Packet Tracer and driven by real-world business scenarios. Each week introduces a named fictional client (RiverSide Dental, Coastal Tech, Apex Manufacturing, Horizon Hotel, Meridian Health, Pinnacle Retail, TechBridge Solutions, and the final Atlantis Technologies capstone) whose requirements shape the lab deliverables. Weeks 1-2 complete the IP Services domain (DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT, NTP, SNMP, Syslog, QoS). Weeks 3-4 deepen Network Access (advanced STP, EtherChannel, Layer 3 switching, WLC-managed wireless). Week 5 closes IP Connectivity (multi-area OSPFv2, OSPFv3 for IPv6, FHRP). Week 6 hardens the enterprise (port security, DHCP snooping, DAI, AAA, VPN). Week 7 introduces network automation and programmability (REST APIs, JSON/YAML, Ansible, SDN, AI/ML in networking). Week 8 is a full integration capstone and structured CCNA exam preparation. A defining feature of CIT-282 is the Advanced Prompt Engineering thread. Having mastered the CRAFT framework in CIT-281, students now progress weekly through Chain-of-Thought, Few-Shot, System Prompts, Multi-Turn Dialogues, Prompt Chaining, Constrained Generation, and Agentic AI with Tool Use — every technique tied directly to the week's networking topic. The course closes with a Professional AI Prompt Engineering Portfolio assembled across both CIT-281 and CIT-282. |
