MIT 501: E-Business Technology and Management (Fall "D" 2020)

Este curso presenta los conceptos, el vocabulario y los procedimientos asociados con los negocios electrónicos e Internet. El curso está diseñado para proporcionar una comprensión sólida de la aplicación de comercio electrónico para el entorno empresarial. Este curso está repleto de ejemplos del mundo real, casos comerciales reales y una gran cantidad de aplicaciones prácticas.

Al finalizar el curso, el alumno obtendrá una visión general de todos los aspectos del comercio electrónico. Los temas incluyen, entre otros, la infraestructura tecnológica, venta en la web, mercadeo en la web, redes sociales, comercio móvil, subastas en línea, cuestiones legales, éticas y fiscales y sistemas de pago para el comercio electrónico.  


CIT 121: Technology Applications for Business (Fall "D" 2020)

Business Technology Applications is designed to provide students with skills in computer technology and business applications in business. The emphasis is on understanding and using integrated software with basic business applications. This course utilizes computers as a business tool through the use of database, spreadsheet, word-processing, and presentation software, along with internet research. The student will use computing tools to understand the requirements, learn the fundamental architecture and how to operate an ecommerce site. The final project will combine all the learning into a real case, and the students are expected to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other tools as required/desired to product the final document.

This course is designed to teach, motivate and stimulate students with Python programming language. Starting at a basic level (data types, control statements, list & dictionaries, design & functions), students will encourage to go further (searching & complexity, functional programming) in IT automation stuff over Python core features as a broad and well adopted programming language through the best practices in writing Python.

By the end of the term, the students will able to understand Python’s code as well as design & programming IT automation solutions with Python (based on the best practices in writing Python). The ability to write python code using the best practices is another learning target.
