The course provides a systematic approach of identifying risks, analyzing the risks for potential impact to the organization or project, creating strategies to mitigate risks, applying risk response measures when risk events occur, and establishing procedures for monitoring, controlling, and reporting on risks.

This course offers an introduction to the legal environment, which affects individuals, businesses, and business transactions. In addition to providing a general introduction to the American legal system, it focusses on specific legal topics such as contracts, maximizing purchasing power through credit, purchasing appropriate insurance, contracting, renting and owning real state.

This course focuses on getting across a practical basic understanding of international business, contracts, the internet and the pertinent legal issues that are raised in the real world.

This course will introduce you to the principles of marketing with a focus on the development of winning marketing strategies for any organization, large or small. 

You will learn how and why a good marketing strategy should be drawn from market research and focus on providing value for the target market with the marketing mix: product, place (distribution), promotion and price. 

At the conclusion of this class, you should be able to apply marketing concepts to create and sustain customer value.  You will work in a collaborative environment to develop good marketing strategies and marketing plans to achieve maximum profit and organizational growth.

Fundamentals of Business provide an overview and understanding of the current issues and challenges facing today’s businesses, both small and large. The design of this course and its primary objective is to enable participants to improve their understanding of the basic mechanics of business operations; manufacturing, marketing and maintaining financial focus in a rapidly changing and competitive market. Students will engage in the assessment of individual organizational leadership skills and be able to more readily decide their choice of the career challenges and awards that management offers. Upon completion of this course students will recognize the fundamentals of current management practices, the changing roles of managers and the managed, future trends in worldwide management structures and activities in manufacturing and service organizations.

The course will focus in providing the essential tools in understanding the role of accounting information system and to implement the review systems of internal controls. The course will provide basic elements of the revenue cycle by enabling students to become more proficient in understanding organization economic events and analyzing financial data. The process of accounting information systems will consist of the application of analytical tools and techniques to financial statements and data in order to derive from them measurements and relationships that are significant and useful for decision making. Students will explore the importance that exist between information technology and internal auditing.
