
This course addresses the growth of Information Technology and the Internet and the impact they have on corporations and organizations from a security standpoint. The demand and reliance of Internet based information creates a myriad amount of business opportunities as well as security challenges for corporations, governments and individuals alike. To secure these information assets from ever-increasing threats, organizations demand both breadth and depth of expertise in IT security knowledge and penetration testing from the next generation of information security practitioners. The course gives the student a global knowledge in the areas of information technology and communications for the creation, transformation and development of organizations oriented to manage an adequate knowledge and appropriation of the technological advancements to sustain their business development in a highly global, interconnected and competitive world. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to learn the importance of data and information in today’s digital world and the processes to protect it.

This course is designed to teach, motivate and stimulate students with Python programming language. Starting at a basic level (data types, control statements, list & dictionaries, design & functions), students will encourage to go further (searching & complexity, functional programming) in IT automation stuff over Python core features as a broad and well adopted programming language through the best practices in writing Python.
