Prepares students for professional involvement with computer information systems through an understanding of the organizational management aspects of such systems.  Topics include management information software, gathering, sorting and distributing information and data and evaluating software and hardware

Mobile forensics evaluates mobile devices and technologies used by the diverse network carriers. Students will identify the critical data that can be retrieved from mobile devices, such as cell phones, smart phones, and GPS devices. Examples of recovered and analyzed data includes address books, call logs, text messages, video files, audio files, and Internet history and other relevant data. Students will be able to correlate the data recovered with records from the Network Service Providers, like call phone service carriers. Students will apply industry best practices to evidence collection and analysis with hands-on exercises using current tools. The course will have a combination of content and practice work, allowing the students to have a sense of reality in mobile forensics.
