Este curso es la base de todas las disciplinas relacionadas con SQL Server; a saber, administración de bases de datos, desarrollo de bases de datos e inteligencia empresarial. En esta clase, explorará opciones que van desde bases de datos de escritorio personales hasta servidores de bases de datos distribuidos geográficamente a gran escala y bases de datos relacionales clásicas hasta modernos sistemas orientados a documentos y almacenes de datos. 

Cubrirá terminología y conceptos clave, como normalización, "Deadly embraces" y "Dirty reads", ACID y CRUD, integridad referencial, puntos muertos y retrocesos. El curso también explora el modelado de datos de forma sistemática a través de ejemplos prácticos para diseñar el mejor sistema para sus datos. 

In this class, you will explore options that range from personal desktop databases to large-scale geographically distributed database servers and classic relational databases to modern document-oriented systems and data warehouses. You will cover key terminology and concepts, such as normalization, "deadly embraces" and "dirty reads," ACID and CRUD, referential integrity, deadlocks, and rollbacks. The course also explores data modeling systematically through hands-on examples to design the best system for your data. You will learn new real time hybrid transactional/analytical professing. You will combine in-memory column store and row store capabilities in MS SQL Server 2016 for real-time operational analytics—fast analytical processing right on your transactional data. Open up new scenarios like real-time fraud detection without impacting your transactional performance.

This course provides students with the technical skills required to write basic Transact-SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server 2014. This course is the foundation for all SQL Server-related disciplines; namely, Database Administration, Database Development and Business Intelligence.

Students will undertake and complete a scholarly project related to their chosen program of study under the guidance and approval of the supervising faculty. This Project is a culmination and synthesis of prior graduate learning in the MIT program. Students will be expected to complete the scholarly project and present the findings via a manuscript and an oral presentation.

This course is designed to teach, motivate and stimulate students with Python programming language. Starting at a basic level (data types, control statements, list & dictionaries, design & functions), students will encourage to go further (searching & complexity, functional programming) in IT automation stuff over Python core features as a broad and well adopted programming language through the best practices in writing Python.

By the end of the term, the students will able to understand Python’s code as well as design & programming IT automation solutions with Python (based on the best practices in writing Python). The ability to write python code using the best practices is another learning target.

The Capstone Project is the last class that needs to be taken. Students will undertake and complete a scholarly project related to their chosen program of study under the guidance and approval of the supervising faculty.
