Today, projects aren’t successful unless the customer’s needs are met at the highest level of quality at the lowest cost to the organization. Project Managers must know customer needs, and manage them throughout the project lifecycle, in order to gain acceptance.

This course on Managing Quality in the Project Environment enables students to practice identification of:

  1. Critical quality requirements (Quality Planning)
  2. Fulfillment of those requirements through well-designed processes (Quality Assurance)
  3. Statistical awareness of technical specifications of project deliverables (Quality Control).

The goal of this second course of the Project Management specialization is to provide students with skills necessary to plan and execute traditional engineering projects. Project managers must plan and manage complex projects constrained by time and budget. As part of this course, you will determine project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments. At the end of this course, you will also be able to identify and explain various quality tools and methods used in project management.
